SNGPL Announces Record Profit and Highest-Ever Dividend for FY2023-24
Pakistan, April 29 -- During their meeting on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Lahore, the Board of Directors of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) proposed a final cash dividend of Rs. 7.50 per share (which amounts to 75%) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
At the meeting, the Board ratified the Annual Accounts for FY 2023-24, signifying a landmark accomplishment for the company. SNGPL achieved its peak profitability ever, with a notable pre-tax profit amounting to approximately Rs. 30 billion. The post-tax profit was equally commendable at Rs. 19 billion, which equates to earnings per share (EPS) of Rs. 29.92—a substantial increase compared to the post-tax profit of Rs. 10.6 billion and an EPS of Rs. 16.66 reported during the same timeframe in the previous year.
Over the course of the fiscal year, SNGPL exhibited remarkable resilience and top-tier operational performance, reaching significant benchmarks in every area of its operations. Even amid a difficult worldwide scenario characterized by increased geopolitical strain and fluctuating financial markets, the company posted impressive outcomes, thereby strengthening its robust base and promising outlook.
The Board lauded the Management's commendable efforts, particularly in the area of UFG (Unaccounted for Gas) control, achieving lowest UFG in the past eighteen years, which is 4.93% and acknowledged the unwavering dedication and professionalism of the Company's workforce in meeting and exceeding the targets set by the Board.
Present among the distinguished members of the Board of Directors, Mr. Ismail Qureshi, as Chairman, expressed deep gratitude towards the whole SNGPL team—comprising Board Members, management, and staff—for their significant efforts. He also highlighted particular thanks to the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) for their ongoing assistance and crucial strategic direction, both essential factors contributing to the company’s achievements.
