Renewed Hope: NDE Tackles Trainee Stipend Issues in Employment Initiative
The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has assured participants of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI) that it is actively addressing the delay in the payment of trainee stipends across the country.
The administration issued a statement wherein the Directorate admitted to receiving multiple grievances from the populace at large, specifically from recipients across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). These concerns pertained to outstanding stipend payments after the termination of the RHEI initiative.
The NDE reports that although stipends for both trainees and trainers have been regularly distributed, several participants haven’t received their payments because of various document-related problems. According to management, key reasons include missing National Identity Numbers (NINs), insufficient banking information, discrepancies between registered names and those on bank accounts, and an inability to submit necessary eligibility documents.
The Directorate is operating around the clock to address all concerns regarding the unpaid stipends for trainees," the statement said. "As such, management seeks the collaboration of everyone involved as we work towards resolving these matters.
The NDE reaffirmed its dedication to guaranteeing that every qualified participant gets what they are entitled to, and encouraged those recipients still awaiting payment to check and update their information as needed.
