Yahaya Bello, A Game Changer In Kogi Politics, Says Sen Ohere

ABUJA The ex-Senator for Kogi Central District, Senator Sadiku Abubakar Ohere, has praised the leadership attributes of the previous Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.

In Abuja, Senator Sadiku Ohere referred to the former governor and prominent figure in Kogi politics as a "game changer" during a meeting with officials from the Kogi Central Journalists' Guild who visited him in Abuja.

It was mentioned that Kogi Central and the whole state previously suffered from a lack of reliable political leadership until Yahaya Bello took charge. They further noted that his eight-year term significantly contributed to establishing robust governance systems and effective leadership.

He urged the ex-governor to overlook the critiques coming from skeptics and pessimists, and instead stay dedicated to achieving the objective of fostering superior leadership within the state.

The ex-Member of Parliament pointed out that numerous critics preferred to emphasize the difficulties faced during Bello’s tenure, overlooking his commendable accomplishments such as enhancements in security measures and infrastructural developments throughout Confluence State.

Senator Ohere remembered that Kogi State previously had a high incidence of kidnapping and various security problems until the arrival of Yahaya Bello’s administration, which successfully addressed these concerns.

Here, they took the chance to commend the present governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, portraying him as an astute mind and doer who has sustained the progress started by his predecessor.

He stressed that the seamless transition maintained by Yahaya Bello with the advent of Governor Ododo has promoted the growth of human resources and infrastructure within the state.

The ex-lawmaker encouraged the reporters to keep portraying the government positively and enlighten people about the significance of backing Governor Ododo’s administration as they deliver the benefits of democracy through their various media channels.
