Senator Buba Teams Up with NGO to Train Bauchi Youths in Shoe Making

A senator from Bauchi State, Shehu Umar Buba, has joined forces with a non-profit organization called Reality Youths for Good Leadership and Support Initiative to provide training for 250 young individuals in shoemaking and repair techniques.

The purpose of this training is to provide young people with the necessary abilities to combat joblessness and foster independence within the state.

The Executive Director of the NGO, Mohammed Dahiru, stated that all preparations for the three-day empowerment initiative have been completed. The start date for the training sessions will be revealed shortly following the conclusion of the beneficiary selection process.

Senator Buba has approved the NGO to move forward with the training and has committed financial backing for the initiative.

The purpose of this training is to equip participants with the necessary abilities to support themselves and eventually create job opportunities for others.

Every trainee will be provided with shoe maintenance kits to facilitate their craft.

The recipients will be chosen from the Bauchi South Senatorial Zone, which encompasses seven local government areas.

The NGO’s goal is to empower Nigerian youth, promote good governance, and encourage community engagement, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Executive Director has called upon both government bodies and benevolent Nigerian citizens to back programs aimed at empowering disadvantaged individuals via collaborations with developmental organizations and non-governmental entities.

It is anticipated that this program will have a substantial effect on decreasing unemployment rates and fostering independence amongst young people in Bauchi.
