Rescue Operation: Security Forces Save 10 Kidnapped Victims in Katsina - International Edition (English)

The Katsina State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs announced that joint security operatives have rescued 10 kidnapped victims, including six women and four men who were abducted from Kiroro, Kabbi, and Dogon Marke communities, Musawa Local Government Area of the State by armed bandits on Tuesday.

A press release provided to journalists on Wednesday by Dr. Nasir Mu'azu, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, indicated that "thanks to reliable information obtained from local residents, a collaborative effort between the Katsina State Community Watch Corps and the Nigeria Police Force commenced around 10:00 PM on April 8th in the Musawa Local Government Area."

He stated that the mission conducted in Gidan Marke led to the elimination of one criminal and the successful liberation of all captives, who have now been returned to their families.

As he stated, "The successful rescue mission underscores the efficacy of local intelligence collection and the increasing collaboration among Katsina’s security organizations."

The Ministry, representing Governor Dikko Umar Radda, praises the courageous members of the Nigeria Police Force and the Community Watch Corps for their prompt response and professional conduct during this mission.

It must be highlighted that the state government continues to remain steadfast in its dedication to safeguarding citizens against criminal activities.

Of greater significance, the attack on the adversaries of the state will be maintained and escalated. The administration will keep allocating all required assets to guarantee the protection and security of every community throughout Katsina State.
