Ondo PDP Spokesman Exits, Declares Party Dead

Spokesman for the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) In Ondo State, Kennedy Peretei has departed from the party.

Peretei initially served as the Financial Secretary for the PDP from 1999 to 2003 and was later chosen as the Publicity Secretary in 2020.

In a correspondence directed to Arogbo Ward, the chairman stated in his letter to Peretei that individuals claiming leadership roles within the party do not aim to secure victory in any upcoming or future elections.

He mentioned that it has gotten challenging to collaborate with individuals who primarily focus on their own interests and view the party as a means for trading favors during each electoral season.

The ex-PDP spokesperson stated: "These individuals who've controlled the party, preventing us from winning elections over the past three electoral rounds, have further strengthened their hold on a party that has been critically ill in the ICU. In Ondo State, the PDP seems headed towards its demise."

I urge those who rely on electoral funding and party support to maintain their households to find alternative means of livelihood, enabling them to lead more fulfilling lives rather than being mere political criminals, Almajiris, or yes-men.
